As a software engineer, I feel that it is absolutely necessary to allow for
the uninstall of your software, regardless of the reason.
I installed SP2 a week or two ago, and since then I have not been able to
make Windows Update work at all. I've experienced about three different
error codes. I am behind a software and hardware firewall already, and am
quite capable of managing my own security.
It seems that Microsoft is trying to muscle in on my computer and take
control away from me. I have been a very competent user for quite a few
years, and now I find myself unable to even uninstall this atrocious
dis-service pack.
"The system cannot find the file specified."
"The Service Pack 2 was not uninstalled."
The bottom line is:
I want to uninstall some of your software, and you should be ashamed that
firstly, it won't uninstall, and that secondly, it doesn't tell me anything
useful in it's error message.
Next time, how about you finish your software before releasing it to the
public.
Yours unimpressed,
Mezla
