Hope you can help me, webcam problem

Well, I have Windows Live Messenger Version 8.1 and it's been giving an error
every time I try to use the webcam feature, I actually don't have a webcam
but when I try accepting an invitation of a friend it quickly gives me a
message that "Windows Live Messenger has stopped working", I already did a
clean install of the newest version of messenger out there and the problem
persists, I suspect that some programs might be interfering every time I want
to start a video conversation. I hope you can help me, I will appreciate.
