I recently made the mistake of opening an attachment on a spoofed email that
appeared to come from yahoo. After I did, I could not login to yahoo email
or to my website email boxes and several websites and I was unable to reset
my privacy options to accept cookies. I tried to uninstall explorer, but
botched it and now cannot re-install due to the "newer version detected"
message. The article at MS about re-installing did NOT help - I re-set the
"is installed" value to 0, but still got the same problem. I can login to
most places with Firefox, but not my website emails! The virus is gone now
after running Symantec/Norton AV, but even after running the Mytob removal
took, the problem remains! How can I fix this? How can I re-install
explorer and/or SP2? I get the same "newer version" messages for both.

This issue is literally ruining me!
