Hello,

I have a few test machines that have applications on them. There is this
server called ServerA (windows 2003) where users would log into it to test
the application using the web browser. Instead of the user hitting the live
site when they hit the url(www.test.edu), I want to redirect them to another
test server (IIS). Would changing the host file on the local machine
(ServerA) be enough?

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

ServerA does have a gateway out to the internet.

Thanks,
Tnt

A hosts file simply tells the computer that HOSTNAME is at IP_ADDRESS. It
won't redirect a URL per se.
Why don't you try this on a workstation and see if it does what you want?
