Host Process Not Working

Every time I turn on my laptop and login, a message appears that says "Host Process for Windows Services stopped working and was closed

A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available"

Also, my laptop can't get HP updates anymore. It tells me that the Windows Update service is not running and I know it is. I haven't updated my computer in months because of this problem. I can't even go to the microsoft update website. It always say connection has timed out. My internet is perfectly fine and I can go to any website in the world but that one.
