By booting your system in Safe mode (pressing F8 repeatedly when the
system is still booting) and deleting everything from this folder:
<C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution>
Reboot your system normally and the yellow shield of danger will have
disappeared and you will start getting the updates normally.
