Howto undo a security fix

The latest security fix that was applied over the weekend broke the system.
(I think had something to do with IE, which is never used on the server
anyway.)

How do I undo it?

IE may never be used BUT since it's embedded in the OS, the files
associated with it *need* to be updated.
Specifically, which update ' broke the system ' and what was broken ?
