I've been experiencing a very annoying problem with an HP 6200 series.
The printer is connected via a USB HUB to my VISTA PC. Regularly I hav
to connect this printer direct to another PC, which cannot be networke
with the VISTA PC. Now here's the weird part:
Sometimes (most of the time) the printer will disappear from the Vist
PC, but not always. When it does disappear, it re-installs when
re-connect it to the USB HUB.

Via the VISTA PC, this printer is also shared in my private network t
an XP PC. The annoying part is that by disappearing from the VISTA PC
also the shared printer disappears and I have to manually share th
printer every time it re-installs.

Question is quite simple, but I haven't been able to figure out
solution: How can I prevent this printer from disappearing from Vist
when I disconnect it from the USB HUB

HP has an application that delete the printer when it's not attached. I
forgot the application HP Que Discovery or something similar. Disable the
service if you do not wish to have HP delete the device.
