Hi,

I tried it all already. My pavilion 4040 will keep doing the same thing. I
dont have the share-to-web software so the registry fix didn't do anythign.
We need other solutions. I can't perform searches or navigate the Internet.

Thanks,

Nelson

Do you have a Nvidia graphics card, if so check for the latest driver at
http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html Click on "Download Drivers".

I have had the same issue and there is no known fix. After 7 hours of
support from HP I backed up what data I could and reinstalled windows XP Pro
and shut off the crap autoupdate for windows program. What a sham that they
were so careless with releasing an update that has caused so much trouble for
so many peaople and then they don't have the inteligence to admit what they
did and offer a fix.

Thank you!

I have been working with MS support since last week trying to find out why
my system freezes when right clicking the Desktop after installing the
KB908531 update. Updating the NVIDIA display drivers has fixed the problem.
