hp ipaq 3635 activesync issues

I just bought an hp ipaq 3635 and I i cannot get activesync to work, It keeps
telling e that i have registry error's. I have made all the possible repairs
but the error continues. my os is xp pro service pack 1. Please help

What errors are you getting (the exact error messages)? And I
seriously advise you to update to SP2 for many different reasons.

Well I no longer get error messages about my registry, now I am told that
Activesync was not able to install 1 or more files and please reinstall
activesync again for it to work probperly I tried to install at least 5
times. I tried to install sp 2 last night and each time I try downloading the
installation it fails. I am going to take my ipaq to workk and see if I get
the same problems there or if it is actually the ipaq. Also 1 last thing i
noticed that when it tries to connect my ipaq says connnect default
(115200) instead of my usb port. I think this is also a problem. Thansk for
any help that can be givin.

If you are having problems installing SP2, then there is probably
something more seriously wrong with your computer - it's just
manifesting itself as issues with ActiveSync.
