HP iPAQ with Vista PC

I have an iPAQ RX 1950 with Windows Mobile 5.
I want to connect it to my new Vista PC - I don't want to synch it, other
than to transfer music files using Media Player.
I have downloaded and installed Windows Mobile Device Centre.
When I connect the iPAQ via the USB port, the PC seems to recognise it and
set up the relevant driver, but it is not 'seen' by either Explorer or the
Mobile Device Centre.
Does anyone have any advice?

Have you installed both updates to Mobile Device Center?

I had to do both to get a work device to function.

It may help you.
