hp printer software update released on August 22 2004.

I have installed this on the Windows 2000 server where my HPLJ2300DN is
installed. Now there is a protection fault each time I try using the printer
preferences from the Windwow2000 server as well as the XP workstation where
the printer is shared to.

The printer worked fine before installing this Windwos Update.

How can I uninstall this Windows Drivers Update which has caused problems.

Justin;
Go to the Device Manager.
Double click the appropriate item.
Click Driver tab.
Click "RollBack Driver"
Click OK and follow prompts.
Reboot

What would be the appropriate driver? There are no printers listed in the
device manager.

It is disappointing that this update that Windows suggested has really
messed up our network. All I want to do is to remove it. I have tried
reinstalling the orginial HP driver but the same problem is now embedded
somewhere on our server.

I have been on the Live Tech Expert on the Hp.com site and they passed me
back to Microsoft.

If the printer is a usb printer look for a DOT 4 device, at least thats how
my HP G55 shows up.
