HP940c Driver Not Found in Vista Ultimate

I need help please .....
I upgraded from Vista Premium to Vista Ultimate and no longer have access to
the printer driver for my desktop printer HP940c.
I tried re-downloading the drivers from HP for my new software and the site
says its already located in my system and wont allow me to download it.
My USB cable no longer detects my printer either.
My problem is that my printer and connections worked perfectly before I
upgraded -- now I have nothing..
Can anyone offer some support before I consider paying Microsoft $59 for
technical support?

This site says that this printer has been replaced by model 6940. Maybe
drivers from that one will work as they have Vista drivers listed.
Scroll down list to 940 c and click on the replacement model on right.
Maybe HP techs can help.
