Hi,
When you plug your HTC Diamond in to your PC, it is trying to use the
company internet for internet access. Check to see if ActiveSync is
configured to allow internet access on the device. This will allow you to
connect directly to the internet.
A word of caution about this approach. Your company can configure
ActiveSync to not allow you to connect to the computer.
