Yesterday I was looking through the sys32 folder and found a *.exe that
could copy a string to the clipboard...
What and where the hell is it?

Then in regard to this file could I:

Set a few of my short cuts to run a batch that first pops up the sys back up
via a y/n choice and then returns to the *.exe.

Would want this to happen every time a setup.exe is run.

Ok found the *.exe, "c:\windows\system32\clip.exe"
Now getting the sys restore to automate at any sign of an install.

Sorry for the continued bothering.
Any suggestions about the best way to approach a script for such a matter?
Or should I stumble it out myself rather?

If you go to the below listed newsgroup for scripting you will find one there. There was exactly a script for your needs posted there a few weeks ago. You can scroll; through the headers and you should find it. If not ask and someone will point you to the right route to make one.

Richard Mueller Microsoft MVP Scripting and ADSI can be very helpful with you creating a vbs script.
