iam going back to Palm tomorrow morning and trading in this Microsoft piece
of junk OS of something better.
funny but its like the Linux vs. MS war, linux is better but microsoft has
the money so we all follow. im such a dumb-ass!!

hi guys,
I bought a hp2490 last week,

this is the problem:
I installed the software on my laptop like the instructions said too.
the first sync went perfect, everything work awesome, but after that it
wouldn't sync anything. the strange thing is that I can open activesync and
click the 'explore' button and I can see all the files on my device and even
the sd card.

the error I get is:
"synchronization could not be completed successfully. reconnect your device
and try again. if the problem persists, see the Microsoft activesync
trouble-shooter"

I have tried everything and still no go. I have tried installing it on my
home laptop, my work laptop and my wife's desktop but the same problem. (I
did a clean reset so it was like new when I tried on the other computers).

I tried it with Zonealarm uninstalled and all computer protection off and
still nothing.

please guys help, I cant afford to have my handheld down for too long (I
need the PIM info for work) and I'm afraid I might have to return it and get
another Palm (which has never given me a problem with my personal or group
calendar at work on a server).

Thanks
Paul
