The icon boxes next to the topic contain an "X" and the Help Title but no icon.
Can anybody suggest how to display the icon?

Thanks.

I gather this is a problem in Help & Support and not somewhere else.

Icons in Help are missing - This happens if the "Content Type" setting
for .PNG file types is broken. Download a REG file from Daniel Martin's
site here:

http://winvista.mvps.org/Ficheros/PNG.reg - Download and save it to Desktop.
Right-click on the file and choose Merge. The manual fix:

1. Close the Help and Support window.
2. Start the Registry Editor by clicking Start, typing "regedit" (no
quotation marks), and pressing ENTER. (You need administrator privileges to
do this.)
3. Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.png.
4. Right-click the .png folder, point to New, and then click String value.
5. Add a new string named "Content Type" (without quotation marks).
6. Double-click the new Content Type string and set the Value data to
"image/png" (without quotation marks).
7. Close the Registry Editor, and then open Help and Support.

I guess my problem is different. I made this change in the Registry
Editor and still have no icons in the Help and Support window. It isn't
that big a deal unless it is an indicator that I have a bigger problem.

Are there any more ideas?

Thank you

In that case, you might try a System Restore with a restore point date
before this problem to see if it can fix it

Hope this helps
