Iconnect to the office by vpn, and the laptop says I am connected.

but I can't see the server at the office. How do you get the server to show
and start using the hard drives on it?

Is your VPN connection set as a private connection?

Which VPN client? The one native to Windows? Cisco's? Netmotion's?
the one from Citrix? any other?

Can you see anything in your office network? ping anything at th
office? Are you able to get anywhere at all in IE after connecting?

Is it at all possible that your VPN ID isn't set up to access th
server's IP address? We could assume that access to the server was th
whole reason for your having VPN, but I'd rather not assume.
