From time to time, the icons on the desktop are re-arranged by mistake. I
would like to save the position of icons on desktop and resume them when
necessary. Can someone advise how to do it or any utility program to
accompany this task.

Guy,

Thanks for your suggestion but the software does not support Windows Vista.

It doesn't say it is supported for Vista but I believe it is the same
program that I am using with Win 2K and XP Pro. I installed it on my
DH's Vista Home Premium system and it works with no problems. One
thing - you have to right click the Recycle Bin to get the menu. That
is also true for XP Pro.
