icons keep changing size

Vista premium x 64

If I set the icons to default size and then restart my pc the icons always
appear in large size after the machine has booted to the desktop, how do I
stop this from happening?

I had this problem. Took a while but I finally figured out if I right mouse
click desktop, move cursor to View and select Classic the icons no longer
supersize. No idea why the options are classic, medium and large. It
would make more sense if it was small, medium and large. Hope this helps.
