Icons on Taskbar Toolbar change by themselves

The Icons that change are created from links in Internet Explorer Favorites.
In IE Favorites the link Icons are the logo from the web site from which
they were created. Yahoo shows a letter "Y" as its logo, AT&T it's globe
logo. In IE favorites these logos are shown as the icon.
I dragged and dropped these links to a Toolbar on the Taskbar on my desktop.
For several weeks they appeared as created with the company logos as the
icon, then all of a sudden three of them changed to generic icons provided
by Vista. The Icons in the Favorites remained OK.
I deleted the icons (links) that changed and then went back to IE favorites
to again drag and drop them to the Toolbar, but each time the icon changes
when it appears on the tool bar.

Any ideas anyone.

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Most IE favorite icons will need to be set to small or Classic icon
sizes. This tutorial may help you on how to create a internet shortcut
without getting the default "e" icon".
