[Idea] Add a blog feed to WLM profile

Hi all,

I did not know where to post this suggestion of feature I'd like to see
included in future versions of WLM. I've also searched the newsgroup with
terms "blog", "spaces" and "rss", and I did not find post related to this.
So, here it is : what I suggest for new versions of WLM is to add the ability
for a user to associates its profile with his own blog (or maybe even any RSS
feed he would like to share with his contacts).

Currently, only Windows Live Spaces' posts can be displayed in the Contact
Card, and only updates made to a user's Spaces are notified in the contact
list. What if a user does not have nor want a Live Spaces, because, for
example, he already got a weblog elsewhere (Blogger, WordPress.com, TypePad,
LiveJournal, or a self-hosted weblog); he may not be interested in
maintining/sync two blogs with the same content. In the same time, it could
be interesting if he was able to share his updates with his WLM contacts.

Could the ability to grab updates (new entries) from our own blog be added
to WLM? And theses updates be shown in the Contact Card and the contact list?
I am no expert in programming or anything, but I guess it might be possible
to get something out from RSS or Atom feeds. Moreover, if a user does not
maintain a blog but would rather be interested in sharing, for example, his
Last.FM profile, it may be possible using RSS feeds.

I don't know if my suggestion is clear enough? What do you think of it?
(Should I post this somewhere else so Core developpers are notified of it?)

I actually suggested this back in the 8.0 beta, but it wasn't included.
I said it would be a good idea so that you can get the gleam for
people's updated blogs even if they aren't using Spaces. You're not
alone in this thinking.
