ok say I have a folder full of many audio (MP3) files. Say some are embedded
with album art and some aren't and I would like to sort the ones with and the
ones without album art out.

I would like the addition of a column "Has album art" with that variable
"yes" or "No", this would be useful.

this way I could add this column and click on it so windows arranges the
files in this folder so the ones with and without album art are seperated and
sorted...

I've got an idea: cut the stupid-assed sig line. Usenet doesn't have
a way for its users to "vote" for a post.

That's because the OP, like many on this group is posting via the MS
Community Website which DOES have the function of voting for a post....look
at the headers.

I know that. I was actually surprised it wasn't another vBulletin
user when I looked.

Well, no, I've just checked all available columns in Windows Explore
and Media Player, and such a column does not exist

But you have given me an idea though, for an enhancement to my MP
MEdia Properties Explorer.

I suppose I could try an create a Window Explorer extension tha
provides an "Album Art" column, but the problem would be making th
extension for both Vista x86 and Vista x64. You should also bear in min
that MP3 files can contain up to 21 different types of Album Art

But I don't have all that much knowledge of creating Windows Explore
Extensions, so it may be awhile before it gets done..

Cool, looks as if we are in the right track here, good luck!

Perhaps just a tab "Album Art Present" with variables yes or no...
