IE 7.0.5346.5 (BETA2) & WLM 8.0.0689

How to resolve WLM crashing when IE7 is installed. Problem is
with ieframe.dll
Any suggestions...?

I First tried it on my main rig which has XP X64 and it has the same issues,
then i uninstalled it and tried it with XP on my laptop after running XP
home and the same again.

I did a search to see if anyone got passed this issue but no luck. I would
realy like to see this issue resolved.

No issues for me here. I have XPSP2 home. So must be something else
particular to your machines.

no issues @ WXP Pro SP2 Dutch @ IE7B2 and newest WLM beta

I have the same setup. So far, have not seen this. I was not able to find
anything regarding your issue but I am sure with the really knowledgeable
people that visit this newsgroup, a solution can be found. I will keep
looking around and post if I find something helpful.

I uninstalled IE7 B2 and WLM8 689 from the laptop (With XPSP2) and then
redownloaded them and reinstalled both and now it works on the laptop. Did
the same for the PC with X64 but same result it crashed.

Make sure to send the error report when prompted -- you're not the only one experiencing this
problem, although it doesn't happen for most people (in the same configuration).

I'm not getting any ieframe errors with 5346 and 0689. With the previous
Messenger, I was getting daily shutdowns, mainly attributed to the EBay
Toolbar, but I think I've only seen one since I installed 0689.

The other bonus for me is that previous versions of Messenger would crash
immediately a fourth person was invited to a chat. On more than one PC.
Since the newer release, I've had chats with 7... and not a hiccup in sight.
