Apparently, Microsoft failed to provide tags for old copies of web stuff,
with the consequence that it does not/can not do cleanup until absolutely
every copy of IE7 is closed - every ad window, every tabbed page window,
every single page window. In consequence, IE7 and other programs get slower
and slower and slower, probably as cached copies are shuffled about. This
means that holding a single page for reference slows everything down.
While security is nice, if I am asked once, why am I asked twice or three
times? Immediately after answering in the information bar (which does not
open automatically or move the mouse to the answer), I am asked in a window
about the same thing - at least the mouse moves to the default answer under
my settings. Then I am challenged about the signature.
And what is this stupidity about having to have a digital signiture for my
own macros in Excel? I copied a macro for range naming (a feature left out
of Excel apparently), used it, but later, in another spreadsheet was
challenged on some operation and when I tried to bypass, was informed that I
had to have a digital signature for my own macro on my own machine on which
the macro was pasted (installed) and edited!!!
