I've had problems 4 months ago with IE7 so I uninstalled it. I had to
reinstall everything again after that incident. Has IE7 been thoroughly
tested?

It's being tested now by all the guinea pigs who downloaded the "final"

It is out as a "Critical Update" but, it still has some of the problems
