If a webpage, defaulting at 100% is too large form my viewing, requiring
scrolling, is there a way to set that particualr webpage at , say 90%, while
still leaving all the others to default to 100% ?

Thanks,

Steve

No.

IE looks at all pages at the same Zoom Level. You can set your monitor to a
higher resolution so that the pages fit from side to side. Frankly, if pages
do not fit your monitor, you have the resolution set to low.

You cannot control the scrolling from top to bottom.

OK, thanks.
But that's the only page that I frequently visit that does that, so I guess
I'll just deal with it.

Thanks again,

Steve

If only one page does not fit, then the coders wrote it poorly.

Thanks,

Could you provide sample wording of what you feel they did wrong, so I can
email them and ask them to fix it.

You did not provide a link to the page you're having trouble with.

But, no, I cannot read the code and tell you where they went wrong.

Perhaps they wrote the code for wide screen, but you don't have one. Perhaps
they used another browser while authoring the page, and did not anticipate
the layout would not work as intended when displayed in IE. (I once worked
for a company that authored Web content, and our stuff demanded the user
have IE to display our content because other browsers would not display
properly. Instead of writing for all of the browsers, we simply demanded IE
as the presentation platform. Since we had a proprietary product, we felt
out demands were warranted.)

The page should wrap within the boundaries of the screen, or window that it
is presented in. You have display settings that can cause problems. You have
Zoom Levels (look in the lower right corner next to the Tool Tray) that you
can set. You might be using Tabbed Browsing, and have one tab set to a Zoom
that the other tabs do not use. You can be viewing in a Normal window that's
too small for the page.

Ok, thanks.

I did just repsond to them of the problem. Hopefully they' ll fix it, but
if not, your tabbed browsing suggestion sounds like it'll work.

Thanks again,
