Downloaded IE 8 beta 2 and while I think it's pretty fast it still has
some quirks I don't want to live with. When I downloaded it installed
as an update and is listed as such in my update history; there is no IE
8 beta listed in removable programs. Will uninstalling the update get
me back to IE 7?

Yes you remove it by clicking on the Internet explorer 8.0 option in the
update history list.

Yup, it is for sure still a beta - not ready for prime time. I really like
it though, and when the quirks are ironed out it will a really nice
browser - it's so customizable.

I like it as well, but I would hardly say that "it's so customizable."
Compared to other browsers like Firefox (especially) and Opera, it is very
uncustomisable. At least with IE7Pro you can customise it a lot more. The
best thing is being able to use user Javascript actions to customise
websites in the way you can with GreaseMonkey for Firefox. eg. take away
the advert space at the top of Live and Hotmail webpages, and make Wikipedia
look just how you want it to. If only I could use user style sheets, like
you can with Stylish for Firefox, I would be able to make my own personal
changes (I do not know any Javascript).
