Hi, getting Error on page with IE8 and Vista when loading up Hotmail.
I believe it may be a windows update that is required. Could I possibly know
what is needed? Error is below, Thanks.

SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506; InfoPath.2)

There is an error in the code on MSN's side. This isn't IE or Windoze.

One caveat ...

The error seems to be reported by JavaScript (JS), and could be a problem
related to 64-bit mode of IE. The test to isolate the problem is to start IE
in 32-bit mode. START>PROGRAMS> scroll down to IE and start the one that
isn't (64-bit).

I am on 32 bit running only 32 bit, Vista with IE8 upgraded from IE7.
Unfortunately MSN the solution for this issue may be a circular finger
point.

I'm getting exactly the same error and cannot send in hotmail !
Have also done all you say with IE settings and still no go.
Seemed to co-incide with when Msn changed the windows live page format.Waste of time and space I recon, it has been fine for 5 years until now!
Can anybody help with this ? Don't want to have to change my email and all my paperwork !

To be specific on the windowslivehelp :

"Regsvr32 urlmon.dll" was the step that made it work for me.

ciao

Hi, I regret that over here, regsvr32 urlmon.dll didn't result in th
problem being fixed.

I was at one time a paid $20 a year Hotmail subscriber before Window
Live - I wanted to continue with that paid subscription but I couldn'
figure out how so now
I have been using the Hotmail account for free. I wager this existin
antiquated account status may be involved,

This object expected error that prevents me from Sending, I'll bet it'
the result of a policy about the different scripts running in differen
places, a policy that results in some subscribers falling through th
cracks. The owner of this script will point to the owner of tha
script, and vice-versa, and the policy isn't quite perfect. I wager
so, I do not have much hope for this to be fixed - I appreciate th
responses but I'd really really appreciate one that actually works.

I had been using IE-7 - I upgraded to IE-8 after hotmail recently qui
being able to Send.

I can go over onto the Linix machine and use Hotmail there no problem
