Since there are pop-up shut down problem with XP home, I activated the
automatic windows update. There are around 13 updates (some indicated SP1)
installed including the IE6 SP1 and the problem has gone. However, there are
other problems coming out.
1. My Windows media player 9 could not be opened. The error message is
something like 'internal application program occurred' without any error ID.
(My IE is in Chinese trad version) Even I downloaded and installed the WMP
10. The same error message persists.
2. For the IE,
a) Some web pages gone blank like windowsupdate, windows newsgroup. And I
can't even get into the Sign In process. (I'm now using another PC)
b) I also had problem in the drop down selection bar shown in web pages. It
cannot redirect to the selected new page after I clicked a selection in the
drop down bar. I uninstalled the IE6 and re-installed but nothing changed.
Please let me have your suggestions/advices.
