I keep getting this message, this is only over the last 2 or 3 weeks, prior
to that I had no problems.
I am running XP Sp3 with IE8. Win Firewall and Defender are running along
with Avira (disabling had no effect) I have also made the site a "trusted
site"
I have deleted all cookies and history, made sure SSL and TSL are enabled,
also ran the fixit utility to reregister dll's. disabled add on's etc.

I can access the login page, also an \\https, but when I feed in my Username
and PW it gives me the "IE cannot display the webpage" message.

Firefox allows me in , so I know I am not making a mistake with the login
details.
Any suggestions please?

Is the page you would see after the login page from the same server?
A URL could help. You might even get another client of the same site
to collaborate with that way. Also, users frequently ignore such sites
Help and FAQ pages, which we can then point out to them... ; )
