IE Detecting Proxies

Why is IE trying to detect proxies when it is told not to do so?

Because it is a lame, unreliabe, unsecure browser. Switch to Firefox like I
did, and you won't find yourself scratching your head.

Got to agree, Windows always has done what IT wanted and often will
override what you the user wants. Just typical Microsoft arrogance and
stupidity. Take your pick, usually it's both.
