Hello all,

I have updated my XP Pro SP2 machine up to the point where the 892130 update
is installed successfully. However now I cannot access the update site, IE
just hangs and a reboot of the computer is required.

I have downloaded the WGA Diagnostic tool and attempted the validation via
the www.microsoft.com/downloads/exeValidation2.aspx I encounter a download
unavailable message after inputting my validation code supplied by the
Diagnostic Tool.

Any help to restore my Windows Update functionality would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks!

Please download and then run the WGA tool from :
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

Are you using IE or another browser ?

Thanks for the reply.

I have already downloaded and run this utility. Were you looking for some
specific information from it? I am able to use IE on the affected computer
as long as i don't attempt to click the "Express" or "Custom" buttons on the
Windows Update site.

Thanks

Hardware specs of the machine in case they help:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2GB RAM
Giga-Byte GA-K8N Ultra-SLI motherboard (NForce4 Chipset)

It appears that I may have solved my own problem. I was running version 6.66
of the NForce4 Drivers, an upgrade downloaded from the NVidia site to 6.70
solved my issue.

Hopefully this will help anyone else experiencing a similar issue.
