I have Windows Visa, Home Basic, and sometimes when I go to a web page (Drudgereport, etc) and click on a link there I receive the message... " IE has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. and a 'close program' box is there.
When I click ' close program,, the process continues... Any help/advice
most appreciated. Thanks. Sally Jane

I have seen this happen a lot on my Mother-in-Laws PC. She is running Home
Premium and IE6. I also see the same problem happening in the current
version of Firefox on here PC. This puzzles me as it does not happen on my
Vista Home Premium PCs with IE8 and Firefox (current version) or my XP
system with IE6.

Well you know that since Vista is used, the OP is using either IE7 or IE7.
You couldn't figure that one out? So if the OP was using IE7 you wouldn't
know the answer? Of course not. You don't use Vista. You can't afford
Vista.

Hey, dumb ****, ever hear of IE8? Ya know, the one Micro$lut is pushing
out the Windows Updates door that's causing havoc everywhere? Man,
you're slow.

Oh, and I can well afford Vista and it appears I know more about it than
you do, not that that would a hard thing to do.

Damage control, eh? Care to apologize now or aren't you mature enough to
do that?

You have my condolences.

If you prefer Micro$lut, again, you have my condolences. IE8 is causing
*everyone* problems so at least you're not alone with having problems
with Micro$lut. Try going to Windows Update with IE8 if you really like
fighting with Windows and its components. Personally, on my XP machines,
I have blocked IE8. You might try using System Restore to a point before
you installed the BETA IE8 that Micro$lut is foisting on everyone so
they can test it for them for free.

So why didn't you offer suggestions for both versions? If you know the
answer, then provide the answer. You can't because you have no clue!

I corrected my typo you idiot.
