IE hyperlinks open blank windows

HI,
been having some problems with IE7 on VIsta over last week or so - when I
click on a hyperlink in a web-page it opens a new window as expected, but
there's nothing in the window (its blank) and it just stays at "connecting".
Sometimes the URL for the hyperlink is visible in the address bar - if I copy
the URL and paste it back in, then press Enter the expected content appears
in the window - however if I can't see the URL I can't get to the hyperlink.
Other times I can see the URL its trying to conenct to, but its not the one
it should be, e.g. its sometimes the URL of the site the original window is
on - any ideas on how to fix?

Did you ever find a resolution to this problem? I am experiencing th
same symptoms as you described in your post
