IE no longer accessible - after SP2 update

IE is no longer available for all "users" other than the original
Administrator. In my Owner "User" everthing works fine but when I "switch"
to another user that I had set up, Internet Explorer does not open but
instead gives an error stating that it encountered an error and must close.

install firefox, regard the problem as divine guidance
