Cannot download and save .zdl files (Avery DesignPro brochure) from our web
site using IE8 Version: 8.0.6001.18702. The file is correctly located in the
directory and the link is correctly pointing to the file. This used to work
before IE8 was installed as my browser. (It works using Firefox 3.6.3. so the
directory and link are okay.)
Save Target as results in the following error message:
“Internet Explorer cannot download FILENAME.zdl from
http://www.?????.com.”
“Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested
site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.”
Works fine with PDF files.
I am not asking IE8 to display the file contents; just download the file.
It should be a no brainer.
