for the last three weeks my ie has not worked and finally yesterday was
able to get a virus protection, and spyware program installed. that
helped a little. what the ie was doing originally was not responding
just about every minute or two. well that was fixed after the virus
protection did it's scan. now it will load, but it will pause after a
few minutes but go back to loading the page. well some of the sites it
will not load pictures. was wondering if there is a way to fix this.
thank you very much.

Hi Boomer,

You might try resetting IE7 to see if it will help. You may have a bad
add-on causing this. See this tutorial for details on how.

Try resetting your Internet Explorer settings, in IE, click Tools > Options
> Advanced (tab) > under 'Reset Internet Explorer settings' > click 'Reset'.

Hello Boomer,

Backup your important stuff, format the drive and reinstall the OS. Then
restore the files from backup. This will, in the end, save a ton of your
time.

For virus protection and personal firewall, I am pleased with Windows Live
Onecare.

HTH.

the first time it happen I've been forced to do in this way
Now I want to find a solution.
From one day to another, without installing/unistalling any new
software, without changing any settings...accessing to the same
website
I know that this problem sometimes happen but there is no solution and
the cause is not known at the moment
crazy

my config: IBM Thinkpad+winXPpro+IE7+OfficeXP
