IE removed after SP2

I've noticed some people complaining that IE stopped working after they
downloaded SP2. Well, my IE was completely removed from my desktop and
everywhere else it was located, unless specific pages were saved as files. I
have since tried to download IE 6.0 from Microsoft and other sources, but
always get a notice that some install is waiting on a reboot to finish, so I
can't download anything. Any help would be appreciated.

I had similar problem,( I had upgraded IE from the internet)I searched for
Downloaded Program Files and there I found IE6.0.exe. I was able to
reinstall from there. But I slill can not open a web page. I still get "can
not open page". I wish you better luck than I have had.
