IE won't show .png images

I tried some recommended stuff - updating Java, deleting temporary internet
files, but I still get red X's on some pages. Checking the properties, it
seems to just be the .png images that aren't showing. Any ideas on how I can
fix it?

You don't say what version of IE you are using. PNG support is supposed to
be present in IE7, according to numerous developer web documents, including
developers who actually code for Internet Explorer. For example,

Make sure you are using version 7.

For earlier versions, google "IE PNG" and there are apparently various ways
to get PNG rendered.

If he is running Vista, how could he possibly have anything other than version
7?

Just testing something, but do .png images show in Internet Explorer if you
right-click on a shortcut to IE, and choose Run as Administrator?

Please visit this link. I'm guessing that not only your .png's are not
visible in Vista, but you cannot open Windows Media Player either.

This issue has been going on for some time and it's not easy to duplicate.
We have started a forum for this here.

Good Luck,
