Help me please…

I have a Win2K Server SP4 and cannot get it to install IE6 SP1. I have
tried installing via the windows update but the fails with the message “Setup
was unable to download the required components. Please make sure you are
connected to the internet, or try to run Setup again later.”

I then downloaded a full admin install of IE6 SP1, thinking it may be better
to install it this way, but when it get a little way in it tells me that
“Setup was unable to install all the components. Please close all
applications and try running Setup again.

I have full admin rights on the Server.
I am putting the server into Install Mode (terminal).
Anti Virus is Disabled (Sophos).
No programs are running.

I have successfully done this on my other 5 Servers

Please help :-)

"ucankite2",

Please open the log related to this installation, which you should find in
the WINNT folder. If you use a command prompt, you could go to that folder
and search like this: After opening the command prompt.
1. Type: cd %windir% <Enter> <--This means press the Enter key, not type
the characters.
2. Once in the directory, type: dir *.log /od <Enter> This will list all
the .log files in date order, with the last file very likely matching the
name of the IE6 SP1 installation executable.
3. Assuming this is correct, reply to this newsgroup posting and send us
back the first errors that made up the failure, along with some text around
these failures so we can understand where it failed.

Sincerely,
