IE6 "Unknown Error"

For the past few weeks I have been getting an 'error message' each time I
open Internet Explorer 6 to delete cookies and files. It happens when I close
it. A window comes up and wants to 'reopen IE6 and report the error'. It
doesn't matter how many times I let it reopen, I still get the same error
message. Opening the error message opens a new window with "Exception
Message: Code: 0xc0000005
Flags: 0x0000000071706e3c Then the message; An unknown error occurred in
Internet Explorer. ...a solution or workaround is not available." I have
tried deleting IE6 and retuning to an earlier version and I have downloaded a
completely new one online. Still the same results. The only symptom I have
noticed is that the error message comes up each time I close it. Does anyone
have any advice or knowledge about this?
