I've read again and again that IE6 cannot run on Vista. This is impossible
for webmasters. We have to still test websites on ie6 and if vista is to
become a success in the developer world we need to have a patch to allow ie6
at a minimum for testing.
I can just about throw out my new vista machine for that reason alone.

I use the virtual machine but how can I use it when I am testing locally?
Currently, the projects i am working are need to be compiled and put on the
live servers which takes some time. How can I use the virtual machine to view
my work when testing locally....without having to develop in the virtual
machine itself?

Virtual machines are helpful, but do not replace a local/native version of
IE6. There is the connectivity issue, the security issue, the fact that it
adds much time to the workflow, it harms the intuitive nature of testing, the
display issue, etc...
