ie7 error 0x05

Trying to upgrade from ie6 to ie7.

Fairly new mid spec computer. However, after running through the full
process I get a message that the upgrade failed and an error code of 0x05

Unable to find any reference to this code anywhere

Do you have Windows XP with SP2 installed Or Vista? If not, you cannot
run Ie7. Also. It seems to work better if the dotnet framework 2.0 is
installed. (Don't know why, just an observation)
