IE7 has stopped working

I am running vistas sp1 I am unable to open IE unless I right click and run
as admin. hyperlinks don't work either. shouldn't have to do this. if I turn
off UAC it works though, but do not want to. help please since I can not
unistall and reinstall.

Have you tried running Inernet Explorer without any add-ons? The
particular behaviour you mention could be caused by a bad add-on, or
malware (which would explain that IE7 will only run in Administrator
mode).

To start Internet Explorer without any add-ons, do the following:

- Click Start
- Click "All Programs"
- Click "Accessories"
- Click "System Tools"
- Click "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)"If this works, then the hard part is yet to come - figuring out exactly
which add-on is causing this behaviour.

Internet explorer is not listed there. I can ge to add ons by other means
though and will try it. Already reset the advanced tab with no luck.

read the blog, went to download SubInACL and it does not have Vistas listed
in OS
