Hi,
When I try to click on a video link in Internet Explorer such as a short
..mpg movie or a short .wmv movie all I get is moved to another page that is
blank white and the video will not play. I can play my sample videos that
came with Windows Vista in Windows Media Player and I can watch You Tube but
with certain video links like .mpg and .wmv movies they just kick me to a
blank white page and nothing happens no video playing? Internet Explorer and
Windows Media Player are already set to play all possible media types that
they can play all defaults are turned on in Internet Explorer and Windows
Media Player.

Do you have another third party multimedia player installed? That sounds
like the symptom of messed up file associations.

Using the system's Default Programs tool to reassociate back to WMP should
fix this for you. If the application causing this problem could be
identified, it might be possible to get them fixed up too and thus other
people would not be accidentally affected by this. =\
