IE7 won't let you login to the admin webpage hosted on the router. It
repeatadly asks me for username and password, even though I know the
combination is correct (Firefox works as does IE6)

Info: Router BT HomeHub aka Thomson SpeedTouch 780

Happens on ALL routers.
I had to retype my user name and password and then it saved it.

Yes, I get exactly the same problem. I enter "admin", and the password, and
it keeps asking for the logonid and password, eventually dumping me out with
a HTTP/1.0 401 Authorization Required error message. Any idea how we can get
this fixed, I did report exactly the same problem during beta testing of IE7.

I have the same problem with the BT Home Hub. I discussed it with BT Support
who basically said that the Home Hub software did not support IE7 & suggested
that I downgrade back to IE6.

All BT will say is that I should uninstall IE7 but as it's in full build Is
that wise?
Come on Microsoft - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed today that the Home Hub software has been auto-updated to version
6.1.1.R

I reinstalled IE7 & this now works okay :-)

Version 6.1.1.R now allows you to logon correctly when using IE7. Cheers
