IE7 security updates

After installing the 2 recomended security updates that come up after the
reboot from installing IE7 I get a blank page and any action results in a
save download to file instead of opening the page. I have gone as far as to
uninstall ie7 and ie6 and reinstall. Last time I checked every step of the
way and it occurs right after installing the 2 updates for ie7 after ie7 is
installed. Note they are not re downloading but just reinstalling. System is
XP Pro.
