IE7 uninstall

How do I uninstall the recently automatically added IE7? I was quite happy
with IE6 and it functioned well. 7 is bulky, the URL address bar can't be
moved, neither can I seem to move the back/forwards buttons (and I like them
elsewhere). I like the tool bar to be at the top and it won't move there. I
also already had the Google toolbar installed and set up to my preferences
and don't need any other search function and I can't get rid of the one
that's built into this version. I might be a bit of a luddite, but I like
what I know and I don't like IE7 at all. I would really appreciate some help
here. Thank you.
ps: I've checked on the add/remove programmes thing and neither 6 nor 7 is
even mentioned there.

Look for *Windows* Internet Explorer 7 in Add/Remove Programs. (You may
need to check the Show Updates box.)

Thanks for the 'show updates' info (didn't see that one!). It does show IE7,
but it doesn't show IE6 anywhere. How can I be sure that if I uninstall 7, 6
will 'magically' reappear?
Appreciate your help
