so i just did the usual download/install the updates (i run on xp media
center edition, sp2) and now my ie7 gives me the token "cannot display the
webpage" hoohah. but, my AIM and firefox seem to work just fine. this is
the case while connected to the internet either via wireless card or
hardlined ethernet. in reading some other postings, i'm fairly certain it's
the "windows genuine advantage notification" update (kb905474) that's
screwing things up, but i could be wrong. that person ran a system recovery
to a point before installing the updates and seemed to have success and went
from there. i tried to do the same but MY computer has decided not to
recognize my updates because every time i try a restore it tells me no
changes have been made to my computer. ARG! can anyone shed some light on
this one?
